Applications and enquiries

It is essential that applicants carefully review the criteria determining eligibility and conditions for each award, as these differ from scheme to scheme. Applicants are required to nominate academic referees and to ensure that referees, on a confidential basis, forward referees’ reports direct to the Faculty by the closing date. Once Faculty confirms that eligibility criteria and award conditions have been met, applications will be considered on the basis of academic merit. Particular attention will be paid to the academic record and standing of applicants and to the academic merit of the proposed research and other activities. It is essential that applicants provide sufficient information to enable the overall academic merit of applications to be assessed.

Enquiries should be directed to:
Ms Paula Simpson

Advertisements and applications for these awards are open in October each year.

Scholarships and Prizes Celebration

The Faculty of Education and Social Work holds a Scholarships and Prizes event each year in July to celebrate the awards and to recognise the valuable contribution made by donors and benefactors. It also provides an opportunity for the award recipients and benefactors to meet personally. We encourage participation in this event and there is an expectation that award recipients will make every effort to attend the event in the year of their award.
